JELP: JITO Education Loan Programme, a division of JATF has assisted over 531+ students to avail Education Loans through Banks and the sanction value has crossed over Rs 13.50 Crores. JELP looks forward to active support in taking this noble project a step further and with participation JELP is sure to be able to assist many more students in the coming years as the costs of education is rising every year.

The list of essential documents is uploaded for ready reference.

Currently JELP processes Education Loans through Oriental Bank of Commerce, Central Bank of India, Greater Bombay Co-operative Bank, Credila Financial Services. [SBI, DENA Bank & PNB in certain areas.] To encourage and promote Education at the Grass Root level, for loans up to Rs 1.5 Lakhs per year for max 3 Years JELP share an internal subsidy of 6% in Interest Rate per annum if the student does not get Government of India Subsidy. Jains Organisations, together can come forward and assist the student to get Government Subsidy if possible, else one can share the Interest to reduce the burden of student and his family. Community Wants Jain Kids to Crack Civil Service Exams: Service to Nation: Jain International Trade Organization (Jito) Plans to Launch Its IAS Training Academy – a First in Gujarat

“Ahmedabad: They may have been blessed with the inborn talent to whittle out their best shots in the biz world, but the Jain elders want their kids to venture into newer territories like the administrative services, so long an uncharted path for the community.

Typified as the country’s moneybags or glorified for their entrepreneurial skills, the newer members are now eyeing at attaining recognition in other sectors, especially the babudom. And if their plans concretise, the state would soon be able to boast about its own brigade of Jain administrative officers! For, the Ahmedabad chapter of Jain International Trade Organization (Jito) is set to launch Jito Administrative Training Foundation (JATF) in the city – state’s first such centre – aimed at promoting Jain children into civil services.

At present, JITO members are searching for a land or an academy in the city where the kids can be imparted necessary training. Not only this, the organization has roped in many IAS and IPS officers from the state’s babudom to train the students rigorously for the UPSC examinations. The training center will also provide all the Jain Students lodging and boarding expenditures, which will be either free or nominally charged. For decades, the jains are associated with business and never with the government services. But with this initiative, the Jains of the city and the state will be taking a step towards placing their future generations into administrative services. It is to be noted that JATF was launched in the city five years ago too, but with very little response Jain families, the venture died after a year or two’s struggle. However, over these years, JITO seems to sense a different trend in the city and has therefore, decided to re-launch the academy by October end.

This time, members of the organization have planned a systematic launch of the academy. Talking to dna, the chairman of JATF – Ahmadabad chapter, Prakash Sanghvi, who is also the vice president of jito, Ahmadabad, said: “we’ll motivate students from class 12 onwards to join the administrative services. The whole idea is to bring out the talented youths from our community serve the country by joining the administrative services.” Together with aggressive marketing, the organization hopes promote the centre among state’s entire Jain student community.

Over these years, all enquiries and applications with regard to UPSC exams were sent either to Mumbai or Delhi where such academy exists, “explained Chetan Shah Secretary of JITO, Ahmadabad. Two students of Jain Administrative Training Foundation were felicitated for successfully completing the civic services examination 2010, at a function held at Hotel Deccan Plaza on July 2.

Sudeep Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency, felicitated the two students.

He congratulated the two students for their success and appreciated the members of the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) for conducting such classes through the foundation.

As part of the felicitation function a talk show by well known speaker and tax specialist Subhash Lakhotia titled ‘Lakpati Se Crorepati and Crorepati Se Arabpati’, was organised. The new batch of students of the foundation took an oath at the function.

The foundation has since its inception given training for more than 500 students all over India besides 85 students from Tamil Nadu.

Uday Metha, chief secretary of JITO, said the main objective of JITO Administrative Training Foundation is to facilitate and strengthen the process of preparing Jain youth for joining public services to achieve economical, social and political empowerment for the nation and Jain community and others at large.
