INAUGURATION OF DIALYSIS CENTRE AT RAJAWADI HOSPITAL

Subhash Runwal Education Foundation, in one of its kind movements to fight Cancer in the country, has made the diagnosis possible at our doorsteps, with India’s first Mobile Cancer Detection Van. The Mobile Cancer Detection Van visits various parts of the country inviting people to test for Cancer. Subhash Runwal Education Foundation has donated this van to Marvadi Yuva Manch to operate it. At the inauguration function, the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis said, “This is a very good way to fight the deadly diseases like Cancer. If detected early one can fight it with medical help. Early detection is the best prevention. I congratulate Subhash Runwal Education Foundation for coming up with this innovative idea to promote check-ups and I wish all good luck to Marvadi Yuva Manch for their efforts in creating awareness through this van.”Mr Subhash Runwal, Chairman of the Foundation said, “We always live in the world of denial. Nothing can happen to me – mentality is so strong that people generally do not tend to go for medical check-ups of life-threatening diseases. And it gets too late when they really face the threat. This van will motivate more people for check-ups and this is how we intend to make a small but significant change in the society.”

Starting from Mumbai, the van will move in various parts of the country. The state-of-the-art van is equipped with Mammography Machine, Biopsy Machine, X ray Machine, Centrifuge, Microscopes, Biochemical Analyzer, along with qualified technicians and doctors. This van can undertake diagnosis for Breast Cancer, Skin Cancer and various types of cancer.

The objective of the van is for early detection of Cancer among citizens, who usually are not aware that they could be having cancer too. In the trial run from Delhi to Mumbai, 6 camps were conducted and of over 200 people tested, over 70 were found to have various kinds of cancer in first stage. This early detection would help save their lives. Thus, the Mobile Cancer van on its journey across the country would be able to reach out to and help thousands of people every year.

Through his various initiatives and models for contributing to the society, Mr. Subhash S Runwal has proven that a fulfilling life and business can only be achieved by keeping the betterment of the society at the heart of our activities and thought process. It is this vision of creating the differentiated and contributing to the society that drives the Group ahead, towards creating a better future for not only its customers and associates, but also its community and society.
