Sanjay D. Ghodawat is a successful businessman and educational entrepreneur. He is a Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering. He heads the Sanjay Ghodawat Group as the Chairman of Ghodawat Industries India Pvt. Ltd. and the recently evolved Sanjay Ghodawat University as the President. His business ventures span from Floriculture, Textiles, Mining, Chemicals to Wind Turbines, Education, Realty, Aviation and much more. Currently the Sanjay Ghodawat Group has more than 7000 employees under its banner. Indeed the SG Group is a leading business group of the nation today that is into a serious business of producing tomorrow’s leaders.

In 2009, he with the attitude of giving back to the society ventured into the Education field with the commencement of Sanjay Ghodawat Group of Institutions. Within seven years the institute is being counted as Asia’s fastest emerging private educational institute as surveyed by WCRC and KPMG, India. It has Engineering, Management, Polytechnic, Metallurgy School, International School. Currently it has 13000 students under its banner from KG to Ph.D level. The institute has been already accredited with the NAAC A grade recently and also received accreditation through NBA. The Times of India ranked it among the upcoming 50 institutes of the nation with 44th Rank. The natural further evolution was the formation of Private University and from 2017-18 the Institute has evolved as Sanjay Ghodawat University offering Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral programs.

He has donated to the families of soldier martyrs from time to time, he also has helped many drought affected farmers of the Kolhapur – Sangli region through his generous contribution, extended aid in times of calamities like earthquakes, floods etc. He runs the charitable trust under his Mother’s name, ‘Sou Sushila Danchand Ghodawat Charitable Trust’ He has started a blood bank ‘Shree Acharya Tulsi Blood Bank’ under this Trust. He has wholeheartedly supported budding International level sportspeople from our nation and contributed to NGOs like Olympic Gold Quest which is into grooming sports personnel for Olympics.
