Although the name of Baldota Family needs no introduction in business community of India yet it is worth to mention here that Shri Narendra Kumar Baldota, based at Hospet Karnataka, is 2nd generation entrepreneur heading the Baldota group as Chairman & MD of MSPL Limited founded by Hon’ble Late Shri Abherajji H Baldota. Mr Baldota, born on 27th December 1940 and joined the business at the age of 23 years after graduating in Commerce from Podar College in 1963 at Mumbai.

Under his leadership MSPL ltd has outperformed in Iron Ore Mining sector and was awarded Life time achievement by Federation of Indian Export Organisation from the then Hon’ble President of India(2008) and Export Excellence Award..

His leadership and Fair Business Practices have been well acknowledged by business fraternities of India as NDTV Corporate Leadership award by Hon’ble President of India Shri Pranab Mukharjee (2012) and Jamnalal Bajaj Uchit Vyavahar Puraskar by the Council of Fair Business Practice (2006 & 2013).

It was the vision of Mr Baldota thru which MSPL Ltd forayed into Wind Power as green & clean energy and became one of the largest Wind Power producers in India with installed capacity of 215.75 MW in operations and the same was recognised by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) as MSPL was awarded 1st Prize for Independent Power Producer under Wind programme by President of India. Mr Narendrakumar A. Baldota inherited the joy of giving back to society from Founder Chairman Shri Abheraj Baldota who was the great philanthropist. Mr.Baldota’s contribution in the field of Education, Sanitation, Health Care, Women Empowerment, Village adoptions (adopted 18 villages) and the list is going on and the same was appreciated by Business World – FICCI-SEDR CSR award 2010-11 and FIMI-NMDC Social awareness award 2010.

Established a super specialty Abheraj Baldota Cancer Detection Centre at the Institute of Advanced Endoscopy, Mumbai. This centre is one of its kind in the country and is equipped with the latest endoscopy equipments to help early detection and cure of cancer ailments.

Baldota Institute of Digestive Sciences (BIDS), the most comprehensive and advanced centre for Gastroenterology & GI Endoscopy in India caters to medical care for all patients suffering from problems related to the Digestive system. BIDS also caters to poor and needy patients, senior citizens, artists, primary school teachers and patients from the armed forces of the country at highly discounted rates or completely free in certain cases.

An innovator by nature Mr Baldota has keen interests in new business development like in Rare earth minerals, Odour Removal. He is always of the opinion to create value to business and to the society and country instead of simply money making businesses.

As an responsible stake holder of the country Mr Baldota understands his role towards environment protection and therefore he has been continuously encouraging tree plantation (Planted 20 lakh trees) and championed the implementation of the scientific and systematic mining..

Under his leadership the company has achieved exponential growth in the field of Iron Ore Mining, Wind Power, Shipping, Pellet Plant and Industrial Gases in last 5 decades. His rich experience is well supported by his two sons Mr Rahul & Mr Shrenik , young bloods of Baldota Group.
